Always, when I am by the ocean, I love eating fresh fish. And when I am really sure the fish is super fresh, it literally asks for getting it raw. Like this special from Sabah on Borneo. Light and refreshing. I simply couldn`t resist and it was a very good idea.

Process

Remove bones from the fish and slice thinly. Mix with all ingredients and let marinate 10 minutes at least.

Serve as an appetizer or as a salad.

Ingredients

For 4 portions:

  • 300g fresh mackerel
  • 2 small tomatoes sliced
  • piece of red pepper cut on strings
  • 1 white onion cut on strings
  • 1 dcl vinegar
  • salt
